Course Description
This course raises awareness of basic security procedures and risks associated with personal safety. The course places an emphasis on the various stages of travel planning including contingency planning.

This course is intended for all those who travel on a regular basis and who are seeking to minimise risks to personal safety.

Course Outline
The course consists of the following elements:-

• Hotel Security - Basic security awareness procedures for selecting and staying in hotels
• Cultural Awareness - How an understanding can improve personal security
• Vehicle Safety and Travel - Journey management, vehicle choice, driving policies, vehicle security route selection and convoy techniques
• Prevention of Diseases - Explanation on cause and effect of most commonly transmitted diseases and reducing risks of contracting such diseases;
• Surviving Hijack/Hostage Situations - Methodology of kidnap and how best to avoid and survive a kidnap ordeal

Course Duration:
This one day course includes two breaks of fifteen minutes and lunch of a one hour duration.
